DC53

ProductIntroduction

DC53, a new type of SKD steel developed by Japan's Daido Special Steel, is a high-performance cold work die steel improved from traditional cold work die steels. By optimizing the chemical composition and heat treatment process, it has successfully solved the problem of insufficient high-temperature tempering hardness and toughness in traditional cold work die steels, and is gradually becoming an ideal choice in the field of precision mold manufacturing.

Product Feature

Excellent heat treatment hardness: can reach 62–63 HRC when tempered at 520–530°C.
Extremely high toughness, which can effectively suppress cracking and chipping, and extend mold service life.
Superior machinability and grindability with fine carbides, which can greatly improve mold life and shorten processing cycles.
Excellent heat treatment performance with improved hardenability, effectively resolving hardness issues caused by vacuum heat treatment and other processes.
Excellent surface hardening performance, which can significantly enhance mold performance.
